Make Your Own Silver Bangle Workshop

Experience the traditional skills of jewellery making in a Make Your Own Silver Bangle workshop.

During this class, our founder and qualified teacher, Eilidh Geraghty, will guide you through the steps of texturing, forming, and soldering one sterling silver bangle.

Choose from a range of silver wire profiles and apply your own unique texture using our selection of texturing hammers. 

This class includes approximately 3.5 hours of tuition and one solid silver bangle to take home at the end of the class. Suitable for complete beginners, there is no previous jewellery making experience necessary to attend this workshop. Within this workshop, we aim to create a super friendly and relaxed environment where we encourage you to enjoy trying out something new. 

Venue Details

Classes will take place at the lovely Saplinbrae Hotel & Lodges, a family-run countryside hotel just outside Mintlaw in Aberdeenshire (AB42 4LP). Best known for serving delicious food made with the bes tlocal ingredients, it is well worth planning a lunch or dinner around your chosen workshop date. 

A pot of tea (or cafetiere of coffee) along with a 'fine piece’ included.

Workshop Details

Small class sizes – maximum of 6 participants per Bangle class (maximum of 8 for a Make a Silver Ring class).

Good eyesight and a reasonable level of hand dexterity are required. Please bring your glasses if you require help seeing things up close and inform us of any additional support needs in advance.

Suitable workshop clothing and no open-toed shoes for safety reasons please. It’s not an especially messy environment, but some dust and dirt may get on your clothing, so feel free to bring an apron if you’d like to protect your clothes.

All equipment and materials are provided.

Adults 18+ only. 16+ years may attend with an accompanying adult/parent - please get in touch to discuss before booking.

As our classes run in small groups, we’re unable to refill places at short notice, so cancellations made within 30 days of the workshop date cannot be refunded or transferred. In exceptional circumstances, cancellations may be reviewed in advance of your booking on a case-by-case basis.

Please provide your contact email and telephone in case we need to cancel any classes due to any circumstances out with our control (e.g. adverse weather or low booking numbers). Any bookings cancelled by MAIRIDH will get the option to be refunded or transferred to another available date.

Big Birthday Celebrations & Corporate Away Days

There are many excellent opportunities at the Saplinbrae Hotel to add on catering or accommodation.
